Heavy Duty Industrial Fans & Blowers

If you have any questions regarding fans and blowers, contact us to discuss it. There’s no obligation.

Types of Heavy-Duty Fans and Blowers

We offer a broad selection of heavy-duty blowers and fans from some of the best manufacturers in the industry—TCF Aerovent and Twin City Fan & Blower. The two main types we supply and support are axial and centrifugal.

Axial Fans

When most people hear the word “fan”, they generally imagine axial fans. Axial fans contain blades that extend radially from a central hub. As the blades spin, they draw in and force out air along an axis parallel to the axis of rotation.

The basic design of axial fans allows them to produce airflow with a high flow rate and low pressure, meaning they are generally suitable for applications that simply require moving large volumes of air from one space to another. However, the exact design and configuration of a fan may vary depending on the particular requirements and restrictions of the intended application.

We offer the following types of axial fans:

  • Tubeaxial
  • Vaneaxial
  • Propeller
  • Roof Supply & Exhaust
  • Wall Supply & Exhaust
  • Duct Inline
  • Mixed Flow
  • Smoke & Heat Removal
  • Adjustable Pitch
  • Anti-Stall
  • Direct & Belt Drive

Centrifugal Fans and Blowers

Centrifugal fans—sometimes called blowers—contain blades positioned at right angles to the central hub component. The entire fan assembly is contained within a scroll-shaped housing. This design enables the fan/blower to increase the pressure of the incoming air or gas and force it out in a different direction. Typically, the outward flowing air moves in a direction that is 90° from the direction of the inward flowing air.

Compared to axial fans, centrifugal fans generally achieve lower flow rates. However, they can provide higher pressures and establish a steadier flow. These qualities make them suitable for applications where flow and flow pressure are critical.

The performance of a centrifugal fan varies depending on the exact design and configuration. For example, centrifugal fans with backward curved blades create less air volume but more pressure, while centrifugal fans with forward curved blades achieve excellent flow and pressure but require more power.

We supply the following types of centrifugal fans and blowers:

  • Forward Curved
  • Backward Inclined
  • Backward Curved
  • High Efficiency
  • Airfoil
  • Pressure
  • High Pressure
  • Induced Draft (ID)
  • Forced Draft (FD)
  • Plug
  • Plenum
  • Utility Sets
  • Inline
  • Mixed Flow
  • Fume Exhaust
  • Laboratory Exhaust

Applications and Industries

Heavy-duty fans and blowers find use in a wide range of industries for a variety of applications and processes. For example:

  • They circulate hot, cold, and ambient temperature air within equipment to facilitate process operations (e.g., drying).
  • They distribute clean air within the facility to prevent it from becoming hot and musty.
  • They ventilate areas that potentially contain hazardous compounds (e.g., chemicals, dust, and explosive agents) to avoid worker inhalation.

Some of the industries that regularly employ fans and blowers include:
